Delphi Demonstrates Latest Automated Driving Technologies in China

For the first time in China, Delphi Automotive is showcasing its latest automated driving technologies.

The drive is part of the “Delphi Making It Possible: Transforming Mobility” event from April 19 to 24 at the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Shanghai) Pilot Zone.

At the event, Delphi and partner Mobileye demonstrate the Centralized Sensing Localization and Planning (CSLP) automated driving system – the first turnkey, fully integrated automated driving solution with an industry-leading perception system and computing platform.

At CES 2017 in Las Vegas in January, Delphi debuted its developmental CSLP system for the first time in the most complex automated drive ever publicly demonstrated on an 10 km urban and highway combined route.

Since the introduction of the “Made in China 2025” national initiative, development of intelligent connected vehicle technologies have become a key focus in the local automotive market. Implementing different degrees of automated driving technologies – from driver-assist to active safety technologies to higher-levels of autonomous driving – has become a priority for Chinese OEMs.

“At Delphi, we have a proud tradition of bringing market leading innovations to our customers and the local market,” said Frank Wang, vice president and president, Electronics & Safety Asia Pacific. “Active safety technologies are fundamental building blocks enabling autonomous driving. This technology is available today and Delphi already supplies many of the building blocks of automated driving to customers in China.”
