Over the past nine days, Delphi's team of engineers, along with an automated driving car they call Roadrunner, have completed their nearly 3,400 mile cross country journey. The trip spanned across the southern United States with the car successfully traveling from San Francisco, California to New York City, New York.
Through all of this, the team of engineers continue to be pleased and excited with the performance of Roadrunner, as they extensively tested Delphi's technology used in the automated driving car. Performing exceptionally well, the car navigated through mountains, heat, traffic jams, trucks, road construction and even tumbleweed.
This all proved Roadrunner was up to the challenge given to him back in California just over a week before.
